When to replace your motorbike front sprocket?

A well-maintained chain kit can last up to 30-40,000 km for the most fluent touring use (everything will depend on its maintenance, the use of the motorbike, the riding conditions, the chain tension, ...). In addition to the condition of the motorbike chain, the teeth of your motorbike front sprocket should also be carefully examined: sharp, hollowed teeth should make you consider replacing your motorbike front sprocket (in general, we recommend changing the whole chain kit when one of its components is worn: a front sprocket and/or a rear sprocket with damaged teeth will wear out a new chain much faster).
